Kimmy Trzepacz

Environment artist & level designer

Hello my name is Kimberly, or Kim, but most people call me Kimmy! I've been playing games all throughout my life, and have been creating modifications for them for many years! Most of my work has involved terrain creation/level design, but more recently I've been learning 3D modeling to improve my toolbox of skills. I'm also a passionate music producer and DJ.

On this site you will see some examples of the work I've done over the years, and the skills I can offer.

This is me! :)

Arma Reforger Map

Here is my most recent work. It is a 210 km² world created for the Enfusion Engine. Bohemia Interactive recently released an early access SDK for their new Work-In-Progress game engine Enfusion, in order for modmakers and community content creators to get familar with the new engine and its tools, in preperation for release of their future mainline game Arma 4.

I have been spending a lot of time learning said tools, and creating an original terrain using them, that utilizes real-life geographical data including converted LiDAR heightmaps, GIS information for forest and lake coverage, and road networks. I then use my own creative ideas to design a terrain around that data, including new landmarks, villages, towns, and natural features including a vast underground mine complex. This is a large hobby project I work on in my free time, and I'm excited for its eventual release.

BeamNG.drive: Freedom Factory

In 2021, I created an ambitious map for BeamNG.Drive called The Freedom Factory/Bradenton Motorsports Park. A few years ago, YouTuber Cleetus McFarland purchased an abandoned oval racetrack and decided to restore it beyond its former glory, and host races at it once again. The property, now named The Freedom Factory, sits directly next to a 1/4 Mile dragstrip, Bradenton Motorsports Park, that he and many of his friends raced at for many years.

Due to the huge popularity of his project and associated YouTube channel, and being a personal fan, I decided to recreate the famous complex in BeamNG.Drive.

The terrain was created by converting LiDAR height data for the heightmap, and satellite imagery for general reference of where trees, buildings, and various objects are. The terrain uses existing game assets to build up the complex to be as accurate as possible, and even includes a custom script that runs the drag strip's timing system and boards.

The map has received a lot of positive reception, including videos created by very popular YouTube creators showcasing it, and has around 57,000 downloads.

ARK: Survival Evolved Map

In 2015, I created a terrain for ARK: Survival Evolved, named The Apako Islands. ARK was released on Steam into Early Access in 2015, and I was a fan of the game early on, so I decided to make a custom terrain mod for the game very shortly after its early access release. It was my first and only time working in Unreal Engine 4, however I learned the toolset quite quickly.

I also worked closely with some developers from Studio Wildcard, so that they could develop an application that would allow me to share my map on Steam Workshop, as I developed my terrain so early, they did not have those tools yet.

The Terrain is a 65 km² map mod mainly focused around islands, as opposed to one big mainland. There are many different biomes around the map, but it's generally a more temperate area than most islands.

The terrain received positive reception with almost 300,000 views and 50,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop. It impressed the development team of ARK so much, that their Community Manager even interviewed me for their weekly newsletter.

BeamNG.drive: Desert Road

Desert Road was the third terrain mod I released for BeamNG.Drive, back in 2013. I felt that the game was missing a proper desert map, so I created my map Desert Road.

It was a relatively small map, only about a couple kilometers across. It featured a small town, long hilly roads for racing, and an old abandoned arena.

BeamNG.drive: Woodrun Raceway

Woodrun Raceway was the second terrain mod I created for BeamNG.Drive, back in 2013.

It was my first time creating a race track, and it was intended to represent a crudely made dirt track in the woods. It was also the first BeamNG map released to have a working day/night cycle.

2013

BeamNG.drive: Allegany

Allegany was the first terrain I created for BeamNG.Drive. It was a small map of connected islands, mainly centered around off-roading. It featured many dirt trails, steep hills, a small abandoned industrial area, and plenty of places for rock crawling.

It was one of the first terrain mods created for BeamNG, shortly after the game was first released on Steam.
